Frequently asked questions

How long is the logbook available for download?

The logbook is available for download for 3 months after it’s published.
The logbooks are not archived and cannot be retrieved after 3 months have elapsed.

Can I get a paper copy of the logbook?

Hurtigruten cannot distribute paper copies, but we offer a free logbook in a digital format. This is due to Hurtigruten’s  sustainablity principles.

How do I download the images?

To download the images, please click on the red “Download Photos” button located on the left-hand side above the image gallery.

Can I share photos or videos from the logbook on social media?

You are welcome share your photos with your friends and family on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

Please note that all images on this website are copyright Hurtigruten Expeditions and the individual photographer. They are
for your personal use only and are not for re-sale or redistribution.

Public use or display is permitted only with proper attribution to Hurtigruten and the photographer by name. These images may not be used in any way commercially.

When will my logbook be available?

As you know we are on an expedition, and the internet connection is not as good as you might be used to on land. Our photographers usually attend several sailings in a row, which means we will have to wait for them to return home before they can upload the images from your trip. Your free logbook in a digital format will therefore be available approximately 8 weeks after disembarkation.

May I get the logbook in my language?

Currently, the logbook is only available in English. However, we are pleased to inform you that we now offer German logbooks exclusively for MS Otto Sverdrup. We are continuously updating and improving this site. Our goal is to include several languages in the future.
